Graduate Data Scientist Opportunity with OpenSky Data Systems partnering with Queen's University Belfast
As a Data Scientist you will be responsible for data extraction, transformation, loading, and pre-processing of data for projects, building required data- and machine learning models, as well as visualisation and representation of the insights from this data to the customer. Your specific focus would be Intelligent Process Mining solutions where you will take on the assessment, conception, and introduction of, use cases in the Information Intelligence division. You will develop data models and control the model implementations in cooperation with the business and the team.
You will develop evaluation and control tools for different data sources to provide the required data sets, including the ETL or ELT of data, as well as performing the necessary pre-processing required on this data.
You will perform data analysis to integrate the result from analysis into existing solutions and business processes.
You will create cost cases and techno-economic evaluations providing a customer with cost, efficiency, and customer impact metrics.
You will bear end-to-end responsibility for strategically oriented process mining projects from the requirements analysis and consulting to the go-live.
Together with analysts, data scientists, and business experts on the customer side, you will further develop the process mining solution in terms of function and content and accompany the introduction of machine learning and predictive analytics, along with the inclusion of scenario-based modelling.

The successful graduate will lead this project, in a supportive partnership with Ulster University and will also have the opportunity to avail of a Post Graduate Diploma with Queen’s University Belfast as part of the employment offering.

Essential Criteria:
Min Postgraduate Degree (MSc or PhD) in Data Science or similar numerate / computational discipline
OR
Min undergraduate Degree in Data Science or similar discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant commercial/professional experience.
Strong practical experience in machine learning and process modelling/mining.
Legally entitled to work in Republic of Ireland (if necessary, you must have a valid work permit/visa in place allowing you to work legally in Rep of Ireland)
Must currently reside within Ireland.
Desirable Criteria:
Experience with process mining tools such as Disco, Celonis, UiPath, QPR, Apromore.
Strong professional and commercial experience of data engineering techniques (ETL, ELT, Data profiling & cleansing) using, e.g.: Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Azure Synapse, or similar.
Experience of data visualisation, using e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, or similar.
Experience using the AWS Technology stack.
Experience using machine learning libraries (Python/R) and tools such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras.io, Rapid Miner, etc. to develop supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement machine learning solutions.
Very good communication and social skills, with strong team spirit, flexibility, high self-motivation and eagerness to learn and get involved in new technologies.
